Remember those New Year’s resolutions you made not that long ago? How are those going so far?

It can be really hard to stick to these goals for a whole year and often we start to falter by February or March. Here are a few tips to keep you on track and help you to reach those goals:

✅ Take small steps! Even if you have a large overall goal, like getting healthier or being more active, set smaller, measurable goals along the way. Use the S.M.A.R.T goal outline (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and TIme Based) when creating your plan.

✅ Measure your progress: Find a way to follow and track your progress so you can can on track 😊

✅ Reward yourself for the small wins. Go easy on yourself, you are doing great and it is hard to achieve these big goals. Remember to reward yourself along the way and have a set treat, like a sweet or rest day, when you achieve a goal.

TUESDAY SCENE (Feb 17, 2026):

When Maggie entered the gym on Tuesday morning around 11am to teach Core 2, she immediately noticed something was off... Standing in the gym was Bobby Bones, one of the life-sized clinic skeletons — now dressed in spare patient clothing. 🫣

Bobby Bones was all geared up (sweatband and all), looking more than ready for a Club Z class! 😅

After last week’s sticky notes and the perfectly balanced yoga blocks, this felt like a clear escalation...Whoever is behind this is getting clever. 🤔

Sharing Our Story

Zoomers focuses on providing health services (physiotherapy, massage therapy, occupational therapy) and fitness classes tailored to Halifax’s 50+ population.

Led by Laura Lundquist, a physiotherapist who has worked in orthopedic and sport physiotherapy for 15 years. As she helped her clients recover from injury, she became passionate about ensuring people are able to “LIVE THE LIFE THEY LOVE”. This enthusiasm for healthy living grew into a real interest in healthy active aging.

Laura identified a need for services for adults looking to continue a physically active lifestyle despite new diagnoses or injuries. This is what inspired her to open Zoomers Physiotherapy and Health Solutions in early 2018.
