This past week, Bucky has journeyed from Whitehorse, Yukon and has made his way to the West Coast of Canada.

After departing from the Yukon's capital city, where he enjoyed the northern lights, he traveled through stunning mountain landscapes and dense forests.

Bucky's journey has been powered by Bayshore employee's steps and activities. Each kilometre travelled represents the collective effort of our team members who have logged their exercise through our wellness app.

So far, the team has contributed over thousands of steps, pushing Bucky further along his coastal adventure.

The enthusiasm from our employees has been incredible, with participation rates exceeding our initial expectations. Stay tuned for more Bucky updates!

What an incredible day at our celebration in Markham yesterday! 💙 Bayshore's Diabetes Express held an amazing event celebrating Simeon King and his mission to raise awareness for Type 1 Diabetes. Everyone had a blast enjoying delicious food and fun games!

We're thrilled to announce that the Bayshore Foundation generously donated $25,000 to support Simeon and I Challenge Diabetes!

A special thank you to former Toronto Raptor Jamaal Magloire for making an appearance and supporting our event! We'd also like to thank Markham Mayor Frank Scarpitti, MPP David Smith and MPP Logan Kanapathi for joining us in celebrating Simeon!

Bucky the Beaver, Bayshore's beloved mascot, stole our hearts during his unforgettable 2017 tour celebrating Canada's 150th birthday.

Now that he's back, Bayshore employees will be tracking steps as we virtually journey from Whitehorse to Iqaluit, discovering Canada's beautiful landscapes together! 🇨🇦

In partnership with We Are Young Association Butterfly Project charity, our team sent out paper butterflies to seniors (representative of the wisdom and metamorphoses which come with age). In addition, we requested that they send in 'words of wisdom' and advice for the younger generation. To visually record the collected words of wisdom, we put together this sticky-note butterfly composed of these words.

In support of We Are Young Association, a non-profit charity for Nova Scotian seniors, our branch raised $10,380.00 for their organization. The check was recently presented to the team in Halifax. We will keep you posted on upcoming community initiatives.

In a partnership with the We Are Young Association foundation, Bayshore will be distributing Origami butterflies to seniors across NS, with each containing a request for them to share their words of wisdom, thus bringing different generations into a respectful dialogue.

The target audience is adults with elderly relatives who will encourage them to participate and/or anyone who might be interested in our future services.

Bayshore Home Health Halifax had their first free Wellness Clinic at The Halifax Shopping Centre yesterday.

The Bayshore team and 5 volunteer nurses catered to a total of 23 clients. The Wellness Clinic provided the following health services: BP Check, Glucose Pre-screening and Health Education (Stroke, Heart Attack, Diabetes and Wellness). Thank you, Halifax!
