Necessity is the mother of invention. Project WELL (Women Empowered by Life-long Learning) is a non-profit society incorporated in 2014 because of the endless red tape and roadblocks a mature, female student faces when looking for funding to further her education. Many people’s dreams are crushed, and many worthy people never get to contribute fully to society because of financial barriers. We res
olve to make a positive change in the world by helping fund deserving women who encounter financial challenges while striving to meet their potential. Project WELL is determined to help these women achieve their goals and lead independent, productive lives. We are currently working on raising funds to send our first recipient to medical school, but it’s also the start of something bigger. Once our first recipient begins her practice, she will repay this generosity by donating the equivalent of what she receives back to the fund, ensuring more worthy applicants have an opportunity to achieve their dreams and become who they are meant to be.
