I want to extend a big thank you to Michelle Abraham at High Vibe Leaders for the Authority Award nomination for the Voice of Authority Award. Just over 10 years ago, in my late 40's, I realized that if anyone was going to take my skills and expertise in BioEnergetic Wellness seriously, I was going to need more education at the post secondary level. My Bachelor's of Arts degree in Psychology had been sitting on the back seat for a long while as I gained skills in Touch for Health, Therapeutic Touch, NeuroReflex Integration, Brain Gym, Accupressure and more. But, no one would take my skills seriously. I enrolled myself into a post graduate diploma program for Energy Dynamics to gain skills on my laptop, in research, and writing. In the back of my mind I was longing for a doctoral degree, but I finished my BA on a typewriter, and I needed to update my skills, as a dance educator I was proficient in the studio with choreography and not the academic delights before me. It took 10 years and a lot of grit and determination to explore the power of dance, Tai Chi, Touch for Health and BioEnergetic Wellness through an academic lens. In 2023 I graduated with my doctorate and I have not looked back. To be a Voice of Authority in the Self-Care industry is a tough one. However, I have dug deep down into the tools discovered their hidden talents and gained experience for myself and others in how to use the tools, create daily self-care plans, and inspire healthy living. Along the way I have collaborated on may fun and interesting projects, as well as brought my love for music and frequency into the mix. Now looking through a NeuroArts lens with art, movement, and music in the limelight, it is a beautiful day when I explore these elements together with my best friends.

The journey to be a Voice of Authority has been a rich one and I so appreciate that Michelle Abraham's awards can recognize the love and effort brought to the table for gaining the skills that can help so many other thrive. Thank you for the nomination.

This Legacy Builder Nomination from the Authority Awards and Michelle Abraham's High Vibe Leaders Company is a true honour. Sponsored by the Girls Matter Not for Profit that assists young women in getting an education and build a career in Africa, they have been recognized on my podcast Be Well with Dr Michelle Greenwell.

Leaving a legacy is something very important in the bioenergetic wellness profession. When we can have simple tips and tools at our fingertips that can change how our body, mind, emotions, and spirit engage daily, this is incredible power for our wellbeing. For the last 4 decades I have devoted my studies, skill building, business growth, products and programs to inspire others, to share tools easily across my platforms, and to imagine a new way of supporting our wellbeing daily that empowers.

With many publications and protocols inspire by my passion for dance, Tai Chi and Touch for Health I have been striving to make sure the next generation has these tools available for their kids. Being recognized as a Legacy Leader by the Authority Awards is a true honour.

For those who want to realize their true self-care potential, be sure to check out our Artfilled Wellness Retreat on Cape Breton Island, as I collaborate with some of my favourite colleagues to inspire more creativity with our skills, while creating an 8 day healing experience for participants. It is the culmination of decades of work to get to this beautiful place of being.

Thank you Michelle Abraham for this honour.

The Be Well with Dr Michelle Greenwell podcast has been an incredible experience and project. When I first started the podcast I thought I would do a few interviews and see how it goes. Well, we are entering our 6th season and the richness of the conversations is growing as we provide experiential opportunities for our listeners, a healing session while they listen, tips and tools for wellbeing and self-care, and the chance to get to know some of the leaders in bioenergetic wellness internationally as well as nationally. My guests have been incredible, and each relationship I grow with changes how I approach teaching, creating programs, and supporting others with their self-care.

This week I got word that I had been nominated for the Pioneer Podcast Award with Michelle Abraham's Authority Awards, and sponsored by the incredible AmplifYOU podcast company. It is an honour to receive this recognition and wish the other podcast nominees the best of luck, as together we are spreading the word about some amazing topics supporting others to be their best.

And, in just a few days, you will see the launch of Season 6 and some wonderful projects and collaborations. We hope you enjoy the podcasts as much as we enjoyed creating them for you.

Healing Through Music and Movement: Building Resiliency, Releasing Trauma, and Creating New Pathways to Wellness

At the Greenwell Center for Holistic Health, we believe that healing is not only possible—it is experiential, creative, and deeply rooted in connection. This belief comes to life once again as Marathon Jam hosts the 2nd Annual Healing Through Music and Movement Event, a powerful, interactive day designed to support veterans, first responders, healthcare professionals, caregivers, and anyone seeking meaningful tools for self-care and resilience.

When I first met Michelle Abraham, it was like discovering a kindred spirit. Her passion for women entrepreneurs, podcast development, and personal development resonated with the projects I adore. Michelle has just launched the first Authority Awards and I have been nominated for a Thought Leader Award. Michelle's ambition has been to shine a light on the quiet work that happens between the glitz and high profile leaders that often gain the limelight. There are many people, Canadians, who have been diligently moving our communities forward with their programs, outreach, and dedication to the rise of the human potential and wellbeing. It is an honour to be considered among her voices for change and resiliency, and it is equally an honour to be considered for the Thought Leader Award. Thank you Michelle Abraham for this distinction.

I’m honored to be nominated for the Thought Leader Award, recognizing authentic leadership and real impact through voice, visibility, and legacy. Grateful to be seen and celebrated alongside so many inspiring leaders.

🌊✨ Facing Dementia – Episode 6: Illness Brain on Vacation ✨🌊
What happens when you take a break… not just from your routine, but from your illness?

In this episode of Facing Dementia, Laurin Wittig and Dr. Michelle Greenwell explore the weight of the “Illness Brain” — the constant thoughts, decisions, and pressure to do everything just right in order to heal.

But here’s the truth…
Healing doesn’t happen in constant busyness.
Healing happens in calm.

🌿 When Laurin stepped away on vacation, something shifted:
The mind softened.
The body relaxed.
And for a moment, she wasn’t a diagnosis — she was simply herself.

💭 We explore:
• How the nervous system resets when we step away
• The “monkey mind” of trying to fix everything
• Why we can get stuck making decisions from the same patterns that created imbalance
• How creating space opens us to new possibilities for healing

☀️ Featured Tea: Bras D’Or Sunset
With tangerine and safflower petals, this blend invites you to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with the golden moments that remind you who you are beyond the diagnosis.

✨ Affirmation:
“I put myself at ease as I reconnect with the moments that rejuvenate and inspire me.”

You are not your diagnosis.
You are still here to live, to feel joy, and to thrive.

🎧 Listen now and take your own “Illness Brain” on vacation.
