Regularly check your kid’s toys for loose magnets, and get rid of magnetic toys that are small enough to swallow.
Common toys that may include powerful magnets:
- construction set
- toy jewellery and dress-up items
- action figures and dolls
- board games
- train sets

If powerful magnets are swallowed, they can cause serious injury and even death. It’s especially dangerous if a child swallows more than one magnet over a short period of time.
