🤸‍♀️ Giving Back to the Sport That Shaped Us 🤍

This past weekend, Suzanne, DJ, and Kali were proud to be at the Taiso Gymnastics Competition, providing sports medical coverage and supporting the athletes and coaches who make this community so special.

DJ, who’s currently working toward his Sports Massage Fellowship, loved being on the floor giving back to the sport and community we care so deeply about 💪

Kali wears two hats close to her heart — she’s a full-time competitive coach with Taiso and also works behind the scenes as part of Coastal’s backend financial administration. Being able to support athletes both on and off the floor is something she’s incredibly passionate about.

Suzanne has provided sports medical coverage for this competition for 18 years, and Taiso remains especially meaningful to her — she competed for Taiso herself up until the age of 28. Full-circle moments like this never get old 🤍

Giving back through sports medical coverage is at the core of what we do at Coastal, and we’re proud to continue supporting local sport and community.

Mikaela Henderson, PDt., IOC Diploma in Sports Nutrition, has the credentials and experience to help athletes of all ages and sports reach their goals. A graduate of St. Francis Xavier University with degrees in Human Nutrition & Human Kinetics, Mikaela is a Registered Dietitian and completed her Diploma in Sports Nutrition through the International Olympic Committee.

Over the past few years, she’s worked closely with varsity teams at Saint Mary’s University, supporting athletes with pre-, during, and post-training nutrition, hydration, and body composition goals.
