People with fibromyalgia face accessibility barriers ranging from physical barriers, attitudinal barriers to systemic barriers.

Our guest speakers, will discuss these different barriers, answer questions and provide ideas for moving past them.

Both guests bring extensive clinical experience in managing fibromyalgia and will focus specifically on overcoming internal and external attitudinal barriers. They will provide actionable guidance on addressing negative perceptions of the condition.

At One to One Wellness, our team works together to support individuals living with chronic pain and complex conditions through coordinated medical, rehabilitation, and mental health care.

We’re proud to share that One to One Wellness is now listed in the Military, Veteran and Family Services National Resource Directory 🇨🇦

This directory helps connect members of the Canadian Armed Forces, Veterans, and their families with trusted organizations that support health, recovery, and overall well-being.

Why this matters to us:

Veterans and First Responders are living with chronic pain and complex health conditions at much higher rates than the general population. Finding the right care can be challenging, especially when services are spread out or not well connected.

At One to One Wellness, we’ve built our clinic to do things differently.

Our team works together to provide coordinated care that may include:
• Physiotherapy
• Physician and Nurse Practitioner services
• Psychology
• Occupational Therapy
• Manual Therapy
• Sleep-focused care

All with a focus on helping people move better, feel more in control, and get back to what matters most.

We offer both in-person care in Halifax and virtual options across Nova Scotia.

One of the biggest gaps we hear about in healthcare is coordination.

People often tell us they feel like they’re navigating care on their own. Repeating their story and trying to connect pieces that should already be working together.

We’ve taken that seriously.

Through our work with individuals, and alongside organizations like the People In Pain Network - PIPN , Fibromyalgia Association Canada - FAC and the Chronic Pain Centre of Excellence the message has been consistent.

At One to One Wellness, we’ve built a model where medical and allied health care work together to support people with persistent pain and complex conditions.

This video gives a look at how that comes together in practice and what a more connected approach to care can look like.

We’re proud to share that our psychologist, Jessica Friesen, is partnering with Fibromyalgia Association of Canada for a live Q&A in recognition of Psychology Month.

Living with fibromyalgia often means navigating pain, fatigue, sleep challenges, and the emotional toll that comes with chronic illness. This Q&A is a great opportunity to learn practical, evidence-informed strategies for coping, building resilience, and supporting mental well-being.
