🎨 Black History Month Artist Feature: Howardena Pindell

We are back! And for our first week we’re celebrating Howardena Pindell, an influential contemporary artist known for her rich use of texture, colour, and pattern.

Pindell often worked with painted dots, layered materials, and mixed media, inviting viewers to slow down, look closely, and feel their way through her art. Her work reminds us that art can be both playful and powerful, personal and political, and that every mark has meaning.

Have you ever come to class and thought,
“It’s so cozy in here, I could hang out all day”?

Welcome to The Play Café ☕️
Tuesdays & Wednesdays 10-11am

This is an open, mixed-age play hour for 0-5 where littles explore freely and grown-ups get to slow down. There’s no lesson, no group activity, and no schedule to follow.

The space is set up intentionally, but the play is completely unguided. Children choose how, where, and what they play.

Meet that friend you’ve rescheduled with five times, swing by for a mid-morning reset, or just sit back and watch your little one feel safe enough to explore on their own. Every hang-out comes with a complimentary coffee or tea ☕️

You’re welcome to join in, observe, or simply enjoy being in the room.
Just a cozy space to hang out, connect, and play.

✨Tuesday is the Play Café permanent time slot and then we will be adding & changing our play cafe times as we find more time in our schedule … Play Café is currently being offered on Wednesdays temporarily as we have something “muey exciting!” coming soon! 😉

DRAMA CLUB IS BACK🎭 Finding Your Voice: Drama Club | 12-Week Performing Arts Program | Spring Season Begins: Feb 24

Kids ages 6–10 will dive into theatre foundations, improvisation, monologues, scene study, and musical theatre, exploring confidence, storytelling, and creative expression each week in a playful, supportive environment.
Each week, students will:
Learn the language of theatre through fun, age-appropriate definitions and mini-lessons
Act, improvise, and play, building confidence and collaboration
Explore voice, character, and storytelling through monologues and scenes
Create a group musical number, blending movement, music, and imagination

⏰ Wednesdays 4:30–5:30PM
🎟 Small class sizes: spaces are limited!
💲3 x $90 instalments (due at signup, April 1,May 6)

Classes include two breaks (Mar 16–22 & Apr 6–12) and wrap up with an end-of-term showcase at Hamilton Theatre Inc first week of June celebrating each child’s creativity and growth.

No experience required—just a love of play, performance, and finding your voice!

ART CLUB IS BACK 🎨 The Sculpture Garden | 12-Week Hands-On Art Club | Spring Season Begins: Feb 24

Kids ages 6–10 will dive into a world of clay, paper mâché, natural elements, and found objects, exploring form, texture, balance, and storytelling, all while getting messy and creative!
Each week, they’ll take inspiration from real artists and sculptural styles, building skills and confidence along the way.

⏰ Tuesdays 4:30–5:30PM
🎟 Small class sizes: spaces are limited!
💲3 × $90 instalments (due at signup, April 7, May 5)

We’ll finish with a celebratory end-of-term showcase alongside Drama Club actors!
No classes during March Break (Mar 16–22) & mid-term break (Apr 6–12). Final showcase: first week of June.
