✨ Emily & Andy — the hearts behind Mapleton Acres ✨

Mapleton Acres isn’t your average flower farm. It’s a love story rooted in community, colour, and connection 🌸

When Emily & Andy first moved to their piece of land, they didn’t plan to become flower farmers. They simply wanted to share their space… and somehow, the flowers found them.

What began as a simple dream has blossomed into a year-round flower farm and shop filled with hand-tied bouquets, dried florals, plants, gifts, and endless joy. Every petal carries a story of nostalgia — inspired by the blooms that once brightened their moms’ and grandmas’ kitchen tables 🌿

Every photo felt like a quiet celebration of what they’ve built — a place where love, laughter, and growth come naturally.

It’s always an honour to be invited back to the farm to capture not just how the flowers have flourished, but how Mapleton Acres itself continues to bloom 🌷 Watching their ideas and dreams take shape year after year leaves me in awe!

September was a roller coaster, but we made it through with a lot of joy in the end!

I *just* got my energy back (finally able to sleep because my allergies have calmed TF down lol) and it feels so good to be physically and mentally on the mend!!

If September solidified a truth to me on anything, it’s Community is everything! I can’t express how grateful I am for all the communities I get to be a part of, and it makes me a little emotional thinking how far I’ve come since moving to Guelph 10 years ago. More on this later this week!!

I’m looking forward to a busy October, but also intentionally creating moments of rest and play (because we need balance on the busiest month of the year)!

✨ Meet Caitlyn Mary, where art and life flow together ✨

Caitlyn is an Ontario-based artist, teacher, and full-time nurse whose world is filled with both compassion and creativity. By day, she cares for young moms and their babies with a tender heart. By night, she paints pieces inspired by her backpacking adventures—quiet moments in nature transformed into brushstrokes of peace and connection. 🌿🎨

Her art isn’t just about landscapes. It’s about translating the stillness, wonder, and subtle lessons of the backcountry into something you can carry home with you. Every canvas is an invitation to pause, breathe, and feel rooted.

Photographing Caitlyn meant capturing that same spirit—grounded, intentional, and quietly powerful. Through the lens, you see not just an artist, but a storyteller of nature’s gentle wisdom.

This was the 4th branding photoshoot I did with Caitlyn, and I swear it just keeps getting better and better! It’s so beautiful to see how she has grown as an artist and as a person.

Tiny whimsical details are tucked everywhere, waiting to make you smile. 🌸

Photographing Loohoo was pure joy. It wasn’t about perfect angles or staged shots—it was about capturing the energy, personality, and magical vibe of the space. Through the lens, it felt like stepping straight into someone’s imaginative, joyful world. 📸

Loohoo is Toronto-based and Asian-woman owned, but it’s more than a store—it’s a community hub for playful events, inspiration, and experiences that add a little sparkle to everyday life.

On shoot day, it’s all about easing in: a real conversation to break the ice, gentle direction that keeps things natural, celebrating the little wins, and creating space that matches their vibe.
