Community Living Hamilton Community Living Hamilton is a not-for-profit organization and registered charity that offers a full range of services to people with special needs.

We are one of the largest not-for-profits in Hamilton; each year we provide service to approximately 1,000 children, teens, adults and families. Over 60 years ago, Community Living Hamilton was founded by a group of mothers who came together in a church basement to discuss how they could support each other and their sons and daughters with special needs. Since then, we have continued to establish

programs and services that have enabled our clients to fully participate and contribute to their community. We continue to promote full inclusion through person-directed planning; which promotes independence, personal choice and assisting our clients lead the lives they want. Whether it's living independently or in a group setting, working in a supported environment or participating in community activities, we are here to help people realize their full potential and dreams.

At CP Huntington, participants came together to share a meal to mark the final session of our Bereavement Group 🤍

Over the past 10 weeks, the group explored grief, learned healthy coping strategies, and found meaningful ways to say goodbye. Through open sharing, mutual support, and remembrance, they created a safe and compassionate space for healing, reflection, and connection.

We are grateful for the courage, care, and community that grew throughout this journey.

Another wonderful visit for Karen and D’Arcy today 💜 They enjoyed a lunch together at Kentley, spent time reminiscing over photos from their Disney trip, and then relaxed side by side in comfy chairs after lunch.

Karen and D'arcy have shared a loving relationship for 27 years, and a few years ago were able to move into the same apartment unit at Acorn. As Karen’s care needs have changed over time, she now lives at our Kently home, but their connection remains as strong as ever.

A heartfelt thank you to Lesley and Rebecca for making it possible to bring D’Arcy to see Karen, these moments together mean so much, and we truly appreciate your support!
