Although sometimes seen as scary or daunting, a transva**nal ultrasound is VERY helpful at getting YOU the answers to your concerns. So how does a transva**nal ultrasound even work? The probe is placed inside the va**na. We take pictures with the camera at the top of the probe. The probe is practically next to the main structures of importance, so the quality of the images is usually excellent. This is in comparison to the traditional “transabdominal” ultrasound, also known as the pelvic ultrasound by some. The views through the abdominal wall, bladder, bowels to see the uterus and ovaries are usually not super great, so it’s hard to get accurate details and answers.

We take care by getting your consent for transva**nal ultrasound and ensuring you are comfortable for the entire procedure. The added bonus is you don’t need a full bladder!
