Severe bleeding can be fatal in minutesā€”act fast. Call emergency services. Put on gloves if available. Press hard with clean cloth or gauze; donā€™t lift to check. If soaking, add layers and keep pressure. For deep wounds, pack gauze into the wound and press. On limbs with life-threatening bleeding, apply a tourniquet 2ā€“3 in above the wound (not on joints), tighten until bleeding stops; note the time. Keep them warm. Get training.

EpiPen basics: remove the blue cap āž press the orange tip hard into the outer mid-thigh (through clothing if needed) āž hold ~3 seconds āž call emergency services. Carry two; give a second dose if symptoms persist or return per your doctorā€™s advice. Always follow your deviceā€™s instructions.

A commercial tourniquet can save a life. Severe bleeding kills fast.
When: Life-threatening limb bleeding and direct pressure fails.
How: Call 911 Place above the wound (not over joints). Tighten until bleeding stops/no pulse. Secure and note time. Keep visible. Do not remove until EMS.
Carry one. Train to use it.
