Wishing you a safe and joyful Easter from Aspire First Aid Guide Training! π°π·
Body: As we celebrate the spring season with family gatherings, festive meals, and egg hunts, it is the perfect time to keep safety top of mind.
While mini chocolate eggs, hard candies, and the small toys hidden inside plastic eggs are Easter classics, they are also some of the most common choking hazards for young children.
Before the weekend festivities begin, our training team recommends a few quick safety steps:
π Supervise the Fun: Always keep a close eye on toddlers and young children as they sort through their Easter baskets.
βοΈ Prep the Treats: Cut round or hard candies in half, or swap them out for safer, soft options.
π Be Prepared: Know exactly how to respond. In a severe choking emergency, stepping in immediately with 5 back blows and 5 abdominal thrusts (or chest thrusts for infants) can save a life.
Spring is a season of new beginningsβmake it the time you prioritize life-saving skills. Whether you need your Standard First Aid & CPR, BLS for Healthcare Providers, or a quick recertification, our expert instructors are here to help.
