We are honoured to have hosted the Seven Dancer's Coalition's Annual Ribbon Skirt Exchange this year!

This sacred exchange brought community members together from across the country and beyond to raise awareness and honour the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, 2-Spirit, Transgender, and Gender-Diverse+ People (MMIWG2S+).

Every ribbon skirt exchanged carries forward hope, healing, and the voices that will never be forgotten.

Chi-miigwech/Niá:wen/Thank you to everyone who took part in this year's exchange, and to Seven Dancer's Coalition for their leadership and for bringing this important exchange to our community.

We want to thank everyone who joined us at the Sanderson Centre last week for “The Woven Ones” performance. It was truly special to come together as a community and experience the powerful music and storytelling of Chelsey June and Nina Segalowitz.

Their performance blended Inuvialuit/Dìne throat singing, heartfelt songwriting, and deeply personal stories of resilience. We’re grateful to everyone who came out to support, listen, and learn with us. Take a look at some of the photos and videos from the night.
