“March Break”in April!

We are taking a much needed break for the week of April 12th and you can be sure that our services will resume on Monday April 19th.

Chiropody/podiatry is deemed essential and our clinic is still open during the 4-week stay-at-home shutdown. We are currently seeing patients by appointment only.

WE ARE STILL OPEN!!

One Stop Foot Clinic and Orthotic Centre is still open for any essential foot care needs during the newly implemented Grey zone lockdown starting Monday March 29th.

We are seeing patients by appointment only at this time. Please call 905-561-8633 for any inquiries and appointments.

For those with appointments, please kindly notify us by phone as soon as possible if you experience any flu-like symptoms before your appointments.

The Ontario government has lifted the lockdown order and Hamilton is currently in red zone.

Since Chiropody/ Podiatry has been deemed an essential service, our clinic has been open continuously throughout the pandemic for any foot care needs.

We will continue to strictly follow all the Covid-19 safety and infection control protocols set out by Public Health.

We do ask that if you are not feeling well to please call and we will reschedule your visit.

As of January 12th, the Ontario government declared a “State-of-Emergency”.

The government also issued a ‘Stay-at-home’ order effective January 14th and stated that we must only go out for “essential trips to pick up groceries and to medical appointments.”

Chiropody/Podiatry has been deemed an ‘essential service’ and we wanted to inform you that One Stop Foot Clinic will remain open to see you for your urgent and/or critical foot care needs. We will continue to strictly follow all the Covid-19 safety and infection control protocols set out by Public Health.

Grey Zone lockdown update - we remain open!

As you all know, premier Doug Ford has made the announcement on Friday that Hamilton will move from red to the grey "lockdown" zone as of 12:01 a.m. Monday.

However, since our profession is considered an essential service, the clinic will remain open for emergency and urgent care during this time. Practitioners will be in full PPE and all covid-19 protocol will be strictly in place.

Please note that the clinic will remain open on:
Monday, December 21
Tuesday, December 22
Wednesday, December 23

Patients with booked appointments will still be able to get treatments during this time. Please kindly let us know should you decide not to come for your booked appointment, especially those with any flu like symptoms.

OPENING NOTICE

We are excited to announce that our clinic will be open as of Monday June 8, 2020!

For patients who are interested in booking, please be aware that things are run differently now.

Here are the changes:

Appointments are needed to see the Chiropodists, including orthotic treatment, orthotic dispensing, foot wear, compression stocking fitting, and foot care. NO WALK-INS PLEASE.

We ask patients to arrive just a few minutes before their appointment. Please kindly wait outside of the clinic and keep a six-foot distance with other patients outside.

Take a moment to read the Visiting-your-Chiropodist-during-COVID-19 notice posted on the door. (notice will be posted on Facebook as well).

All patients will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms upon entering.

MASKS/ FACE COVERINGS ARE MANDATORY. Please bring it along with you to your appointment.

Once you are signalled to come in, kindly put your mask on, open the door and wash your hands with hand sanitizer provided at the doorway.

Patient will be guided directly into the treatment room after the said screening and disinfecting.

All staff will be wearing full PPE including face shields, face masks, isolation gowns (if applicable), and gloves.

Safety barrier has been installed at the reception desk.

We ask patient to refrain from using clinic washroom at this time.

Common “touch points” such as counters, doorknobs, credit card machines, etc., will be disinfected frequently throughout the day, on top of our usual disinfecting and sterilization protocol per patient basis.

All items, displays and most chairs will be removed from the waiting room. The remaining chairs (placed 6 feet apart) will be used in the case of bad weather.

Great news!

Our profession has been given green light by Public Health and our regulated body to open for patient care. The reopening of our clinic is now underway. We are currently preparing to ensue the guidelines and protocol set out by the government and college will be strictly followed to ensure the safety of the patients and staff alike when we open.

Dear patients:

Over the course of the last three months, we have been monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic situation closely by taking the highest disinfecting measures throughout the clinic including washroom, hallway, waiting areas and what is considered “hot spots” such as all door and chair handles, counters/tables, point-of-sale machines, to name a few, other than our routine sterilizing and disinfecting regulations set out by our College.

However, given the recent social-distancing guidelines set out by Public Health, One Stop Foot Clinic and Orthotic Centre has made the hardest decision by closing until further notice. Our services provided are mostly elective in nature, and we felt that it is our responsibility to cooperate with the seriousness of the situation by participating in the much needed social distancing practice. Therefore all patients will be contacted by phone for rescheduling.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and hope that our patient will stay well during this uncertain time.
