Raising boys who are becoming men is its own kind of transition. One day they’re your little kids, the next you’re learning to see them as their own people—adults with their own minds, needs, and ways of moving through the world. And that shift isn’t just theirs… it’s ours too.

It’s a learning curve, a humbling one, and honestly a beautiful and hard transition all at once. We’re figuring out how to let go, step back, and show up differently while still loving them fiercely. What a gift to grow right alongside them.

Save this if you’ve ever reacted to someone, then realized you might have misunderstood.

Your thoughts aren’t always facts—sometimes you may interpret behavior through the lens of your past. When you treat those interpretations as truth, you might react to a story your mind created, not what’s actually happening.

Pause. Ask yourself: “Is this fact, or my interpretation?” Share how you feel and stay curious. That simple shift can change the way you connect.
