⭐These suggestions do not actually “cure” the infection; however, they can help you feel more comfortable while your body fights-off the illness.

Using an anti-colonial framework, we informally discuss themes such as motivation, rest, pressure, fear of failure, and anxiety. We will explore nervous system regulation and stress management strategies such as mindfulness, tapping, progressive muscle relaxation, and others.

⭐The SWC presents our Welcome Week 2023 campaign ⭐

🧠Self-talk🧠is the way you talk to yourself, or your inner voice. This inner voice combines conscious thoughts with inbuilt beliefs and biases to create an internal monologue throughout the day. Your inner voice is the voice you hear most often – it can be a critic, or it can be a friend.

⭐SWC Suggestions⭐
➡️Reduce negative self-talk
➡️Increase positive self-talk
➡️Practice Self-Love Affirmations
➡️Be your own BFF / advocate
➡️Speak to yourself as if you’re speaking to someone you love
➡️Give yourself the benefit of doubt
➡️Use gentle words with yourself

⭐Reflection⭐
❤️What compliment do you most like to receive?
❤️Have you given that compliment to yourself?

----------------------------------------------
This Welcome Week we want you to BE KIND to your mind, BE KIND to your body, and BE KIND to others! Check out our suggestions and reflection prompts on how to BE KIND on our website https://wellness.mcmaster.ca/be-kind-welcome-week-2023/ (Link in bio!)
