August is Overdose Awareness Month.

Please know overdose/ Substance use disorder does not discriminate.

It could be any one of us.......

Many are struggling with addictions every day.

Others feel because their use is socially acceptable, and does not distribute their daily functionality.....That they do not have substance use issues. (That is the scary part)

All it takes to go from functionally using to rock Bottom, overdose, death, is 1 bad call, 1 bad day, 1 traumatic event.

PLEASE DO NOT JUDGE, WHAT YOU DONT KNOW.

HAVE COMPASSION

REMEMBER WE ARE ALL HUMAN, HURTING AND HEALING.....Just in different ways.

I want to Shout out a HUGE THANK YOU ro Jennifer Bulbrook and all who helped this years memorial walk go off without a hitch even in my absence 💜🙏

Jen you have walked with me through anything I have done in memory of my brother and for that I am eternally grateful for you and the blessings you bring into my life 💜

With each passing year we attract more and more individuals who need the support and we are grateful they trust us enough to accept it.

In closing I just want to ask everyone PLEASE STAY KIND, HELP WHEN YOU CAN. Su***de destroys not only lives but the whole family unit. MENTAL HEALTH is serious, it is not a game to be played with. SUBSTANCE ABUSE, is the symptom of Great TRAUMA.

PLEASE HAVE COMPASSION people are struggling daily, just to stay alive 💜🙏

This girl right here.....she is my best friend, my sister, my child's God mother.

She is the person who holds me up when my knees buckle.

She is the person who holds me while I cry for as long as it takes for me to feel better.

She is the person who Laughs with me in my good times.

She Shares the joy and pride of my children's milestones.

She Would move mountains to make sure Me and my kids are alwaysssss okay.

She is the most loyal, kind, loving and dependable person I know.

And I have the privilege to call her my Sister.

Today is your BIRTHDAY Dude and I just want you to know how truly appreciated and abundantly loved you are.

I wouldn't want to do this life without you 💜💜💜

I am asking my friends and family to support this event 1$ equals 1 button which means 1 meal, warm drink for someone who is facing food insecurity.

Regardless of your beliefs on a multitude of issues our city is facing.......

NOONE should have to go hungry.

I admire and respect Both Jeffrey McCabe of All Hands on deck and Jennifer Bulbrook of I am somebody. They both support anything I do to honor my brother.

So please really consider helping this event.

The past two weeks the super inquest into the Hamilton Wentworth Detention Centre (yes another one) has been going on. There is still another week, anyone can tune in here
