Canadian Critical Incident Stress Foundation

Canadian Critical Incident Stress Foundation Through education and best practices we can deliver the highest level of support to Emergency personnel through peer support programs and education.

The Canadian Critical Incident Stress Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to the prevention and mitigation of disabling stress for Emergency Service Workers and the prevention of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The purpose of the CCISF is to provide a national network of Critical Incident Stress Management programs, service providers, teams, trainers, and resources that enables and e

nhances crisis response in assisting our Emergency Services personnel and communities involved in, or exposed to, traumatic events. In accomplishing the mission of the CCISF, we will reduce the lasting and often debilitating effects of PTSD, and accelerate recovery. Further, the CCISF can assist in supporting the essential structures required to develop successful peer support programs within Emergency Services or Community Organizations, provide cost effective training, and support those individuals dedicating themselves to the prevention and mitigation of disabling stress.
