Say Hello to Honey Bunch and Oat🐹

These two adorable 6-month-old female guinea pigs are looking for loving homes!

Oat and Honey Bunch aren’t a bonded pair, but they’ve grown up together and can coexist with minimal issues. Like many sisters, they have the occasional tiff, a little teeth chattering or chasing here and there but nothing serious. They could be adopted together or separately to homes with the right setup and experience.

Both girls are full of personality! They love their hay, fresh veggies, occasional treats and cozy hideouts. With time, patience, and gentle handling, they’ll make wonderful companions.

Ideal home for Honey Bunch and Oat
•Spacious, enriching habitat
•Daily attention and fresh food
•A calm indoor environment
•Adopted together or separately into homes with compatible piggies

Message us to learn more about them or to meet these little piggies. We can be reached via FB messenger or by email upperottawaanimalhospital@gmail.com

Let’s find Honey Bunch and Oat the sweet homes they deserve. 🏡💕

🎄Keep Your Pets Safe This Holiday Season🐾

The holidays are filled with fun and joy, but for pets, they can also be full of risks. protect your furry family members by keeping an eye out for dangers.

🎁 Hazards Pets May Swallow

• Decorations: Tinsel, ribbons, small ornaments, and tree needles can cause choking or blockages.
• Food Dangers: Chocolate, grapes, raisins, xylitol (found in sugar-free candy), alcohol, nuts (Macadamia, Almonds, Walnuts, Pecans) and rich holiday meals are toxic to pets.
• Plants: Poinsettias, mistletoe, and holly can be poisonous if ingested.

⚡ Accidents Waiting to Happen

• Christmas Trees: Pets may knock them over or chew on lights and needles. Secure your tree and keep it pet-proof.
• Cords & Lights: Chewing on cords can lead to electric shocks. Tape them down or hide them.
• Candles: Keep candles high and out of reach—one swipe of a tail could cause a fire.

🐕 Extra Tips for a Stress-Free Season

• Create a quiet space for pets to escape the holiday chaos.
• Watch for signs of stress, like hiding or changes in behaviour.
• Keep trash bins closed—leftover food and wrapping paper can be dangerous.
