Our story
Yoga with Tannice Goddard in Hamilton (at two locations), and Cobourg, ON. Tannice Goddard is a certified Yoga Teacher trained in the principles of Vanda Scaravelli through Esther Myers’ Yoga Studio in Toronto, where she completed the two-year certified Teacher Training. She has over 6,500 hours of training and is a member of Yoga Alliance. She holds both the E-RYT 500 and YACEP designation and would love to welcome you to yoga. For the past 25 years she continues to advance her own study of yoga through classes at the studio and extended retreats and workshops. She has taught retreats at the Dharma Centre of Ontario, Rossland and Trail B.C, Bridgewater Retreat, and Northumberland Heights, Ontario and provides weekly classes at different locations in Northumberland County. Tannice lives in Hamilton and she is teaching a seniors yoga class at Breathing Space Yoga & Wellness Services and will be opening up a yoga at Integrated Functional Medicine at 418 Upper Sherman Avenue (near Concession). She also enjoys sharing aspects of vinyasa, kundalini, and kripalu yoga keeping her learned principles as the ground from which to explore. WHAT IS YOGA? Vanda Scaravelli created a yoga form based on the principles of ‘the ground, the breath and the spine’. Through this gentle form of yoga the body learns to unravel to find the strength and openness of “the inner body” while cultivating conditions that bring awareness into the rest of our lives. “If the asanas are done peacefully, this yoga will indirectly slow us down.... and strip us out from many useless and harmful efforts, giving us the feeling of a different quality and introducing a delicate fragrance into each day’s existence.” — Vanda Scaravelli, Awakening the Spine.
