Today, local tech company Lumedi Inc. & Hamilton Academy of Medicine launched the COVID-19 Community Watch App. The tool allows users to self-report symptoms and indicate if they have received or require care. The data will allow health leaders to monitor emerging trends and "hotspots" in the community to provide advance warning to health care institutions.

COVID-19 is threatening to overload the health care system. We require rapid access to the best available data in order to provide the best care.

A Hamilton-based technology company has developed an app and website in hopes of helping to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Thanks to HAM Vice-Pres, Dr. Massarella, for raising awareness on how gaps in access to care can lead to dangerous outcomes for patients undergoing hormone therapy without medical supervision.

Health care gaps in Hamilton have left transgender patients on waiting lists for two years and seeking out doctors in other cities.
