The MHM program is offered primarily online, with two short 2-3 day residency periods (in term 1 and term 6 of the program). These residency periods allow students to build rapport with other students in their cohort and to meet faculty members. The program is offered on a part-time basis with students from a variety of health professional backgrounds taking five core courses together as part of a small cohort throughout the program. In addition, students will take three electives and have access to online courses (or on-site courses as an option for local students) from the DeGroote School of Business, the School of Rehabilitation Science, or from a wide range of courses offered through other faculties and departments at McMaster University (including Nursing, Social Work, Gerontology, and Epidemiology to name a few). The required courses include five core courses, and a choice of three electives (half course, one credit, 3 units). (Please refer to our website for the most current course details.) The schedule provides students with the flexibility to complete the entire program, part-time, within 32 months.
