We’re proud to partner with McMaster University each summer to host first-year medical students for their Public Health Palliative Care elective. 🌿

Since 2018, our team has welcomed students into the funeral home to share what happens after a death — from the first call, to arrangements, to the care provided in our facilities. We also enjoy connecting with them over lunch and conversation.

It’s an initiative that we look forward to each year, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to support the next generation of physicians in understanding the role of funeral service in palliative care. ✨️

And that we did! While we came second in the Championship, we had a blast at WAMSL.

Step inside a piece of Hamilton’s past… 🕰️
7 East Avenue

Amazingly, this was originally a family home in the Delta! It was literally dragged to East Avenue by horses. 🐴

Legend has it, it once served as a "house of ill repute"—until the Catholic Diocese of Hamilton stepped in, acquiring the home to bring it back to grace, just steps from St. Patrick’s Parish.

A stately structure with a colourful past, still standing gracefully today.

It all began in a stately Victorian home on East Avenue, beside St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church — a place where generations have come together to honour life and legacy.
