"So grateful to Dr. Ahokas and the team at Mountain Eye Care! My son's eye was red, swollen, and irritated for 2 days and the Emergency Eye Clinic said they couldn't see him. He was scared and in pain when we arrived at Mountain Eye Care and the staff were so kind and patient with him. Dr. Ahokas ended up removing a tiny thorn from under his eyelid! "My first time seeing an optometrist for my eyes. I need reading glasses and heard from two friends that they go to Mountain Eyecare. I booked an appointment and my wife drove just in case they put drops in my eye. That was a good call because as it turned out, they did have to put drops in my eye which blurred my vision. Anyway, I saw Dr. Berrio I believe.

👁️ Meet Dr. Brian Paul – the newest optometrist at Mountain Eye Care! 👋

Dr. Paul’s passion for eye health began with strabismus surgery at age 2. Originally from Thornhill, he studied Biomedical Sciences at the University of Waterloo and earned his Doctor of Optometry (top of his class!) in Florida.

He brings over a decade of experience in full-scope eye care, with special interests in pediatric vision, myopia control (including Ortho-K lenses), and patient education. Dr. Paul also served on the Ontario Association of Optometrists board from 2014–2022.

Outside the clinic, he enjoys trail running, mountain biking, and family time in Dundas. 🏞️ 🚴
