Do seasonal allergies hit you every spring? 🤧🌱

As the snow melts and temperatures warm, many people notice their runny nose, congestion, and allergy symptoms getting worse. This can be influenced by increased exposure to mold spores released during the thaw, along with the first buds and pollens from trees and plants.

If you know spring tends to be a tough season for your sinuses—or if symptoms are already starting to ramp up—BIE Practitioner Brittney DeSantis can help support your body’s response to environmental triggers so it can be less reactive and more balanced.

In BIE sessions, a frequency-based system is used to help the body recognize sensitivities. In the photo you’ll see the frequency machine used during appointments along with some tree and plant pollen samples that a patient tested reactive to.

Brittney loves helping clients be proactive so they can move into allergy season feeling supported and experience a smoother spring. 🌿

You can find Brittney in clinic Tuesday afternoons/evenings and Friday mornings/early afternoons.

Our naturopathic doctors carefully curate the glass dispensary cabinets with the professional-grade natural health products we most commonly recommend — chosen to support the real health concerns and goals we see every day in our patients.

Now, we’re expanding that intention to our open shelves too.

Chilly ❄️ but beautifully sunny here in downtown Stoney Creek ☀️

The King Street strip is bustling — and so are we.

This Friday’s staff meeting had a little bit of everything 🇨🇦🏒

We celebrated Team Canada’s big hockey win, enjoyed some incredible food from our neighbours at Chef Martin Sushi House 🍣 and Osmow's Stoney Creek 🌯 — and of course, soaked up some sweet baby snuggles from clinic co-owners Melanie and Sean's newest addition. 🫶

We meet quarterly to brainstorm how to serve you better, reflect on what’s working, and plan what’s next. But just as important? We celebrate each other. The weddings, the travel, the growing families, and all the beautiful life moments happening outside these clinic walls matter to us, too.

We’re excited about a few new changes coming over the next couple of months 👀

At Hudson Integrative Healthcare, our little patients matter just as much as our big ones 💛

Today, our clinic BIE Practitioner Brittney DeSantis was working with a sweet 5-month-old, gently assessing how baby’s body is responding to:

✨ Mom’s breast milk
✨ Introduction of dairy
✨ Specific nutrients and healthy fats
✨ Probiotics and yeast (for microbiome insight)
✨ Other developing body systems

BIE allows us to check how the body is tolerating exposures in a calm, non-invasive way — especially important for babies whose systems are still maturing. It’s about understanding stressors early and supporting balance from the start.

Here’s Dr. John Varga using red laser therapy to support tissue healing in the neck — one of the many musculoskeletal areas we treat at Hudson Integrative Healthcare.

Red laser (low-level laser therapy) delivers specific wavelengths of light into the tissue to stimulate cellular repair, improve circulation, and reduce inflammation. Each session only takes about 3 minutes, and you don’t feel anything — it’s not hot or cold, just gentle, targeted support.
