ACT has some truths that sting the moment you hear them… but if you sit with them, they become medicine.

These principles ask us to stop fighting our inner world and start living in alignment with our deepest values. 🌱

ACT isn’t about positive thinking—it’s about making space for all thoughts without letting them run your life. 💭✨ Which thought is sticky for you right now?

Sometimes therapy is the first place you’ve ever felt truly seen.
It’s the moment you realize you don’t have to carry it all alone.
It’s the slow, steady unfolding of who you really are — beneath the pain, the patterns, the masks.

Therapy is healing.
It’s clarity when life feels foggy, connection when you feel isolated, and freedom when old wounds no longer define you.

💬 If you’ve ever experienced this, what has therapy meant to you?

When difficult thoughts show up, try this:
👉 Pause and notice the thought.
👉 Say to yourself: “I’m having the thought that…”
👉 Feel the space it creates between you and your mind.

This simple ACT practice reminds us that thoughts are not facts. From that space, we can choose actions that move us closer to our values — even when our mind gets noisy.

✨ What’s one small value-driven action you could take today?

Mindfulness isn’t about clearing your mind or “being calm all the time.” It’s about paying attention, on purpose, to the present moment — with openness and curiosity.

✨ Simple ways to practice:
1. Notice your breath before responding.
2. Eat one meal today without screens.
3. Step outside and name 5 things you can see, hear, or feel.
4. Say to yourself: “I’m here now.”

Living mindfully doesn’t mean living perfectly — it means coming back, again and again, to what matters.

👉 Which of these could you try today?

When one area feels off, it can ripple into the others. Therapy helps us notice these patterns and move toward a life that feels more whole, balanced, and aligned.

Take a moment: Which part of the wheel feels strongest for you right now? Which part might need more care? 💫

Sitting with your emotions is a skill—and like any skill, it takes practice, safety, and support. This post walks you through gentle steps to help you stay present when big feelings show up 🫶

Save this for the next time you feel overwhelmed or disconnected. You don’t have to fix it. Just stay with it.

✨ Which of these steps feels hardest for you right now? Let’s talk about it below.

You might wear your independence like a badge of honour…

But what if it’s actually a shield?

You learned to survive alone.
But you don’t have to heal alone. 💛

This post is for anyone who’s ever said:
👉 “I’m fine.”
👉 “I don’t want to be a burden.”
👉 “I’ve got it handled.”

You deserve safe support, not silent suffering.

📌 Save this for the days you forget.
💬 Let us know—has hyper-independence shown up in your life?

Let’s stop judging ourselves for circling back.

Let’s stop treating healing like a race.

Let’s honour the rhythm that has always held us.

What season of healing are you in right now — resting, returning, rising?

You know they say never meet your heroes?

They’re wrong.

Danny Elfman is a hero of mine and today he was kind to me when I could barely speak because I was so moved with emotion. 🥹

I’ve been a fan since I was five years old. My Dad took me to see Batman in the movie theatre, my favourite superhero and I couldn’t see past the big adults sitting in front of me. The music made the experience as I could see the top half of the screen only. It impacted me deeply and at many turns in my life, Elfman was there, creating musical textures and timeless tunes that have been the soundtrack of my life. I’d never sought his music out specifically but somehow invisible yet everywhere, his music was there.

Fast forward to my favourite time of year, Halloween and year after year I would try getting my kids into Nightmare Before Christmas until one year it clicked for them. Then it was Big Mess, their new musical obsession.

Danny has helped me, a trauma therapist with my own trauma, to understand the darkness that lives within me and be okay with it. To express my anger, fear, and longing to escape it all in a safe way. Today I shook Danny’s hand, thanked him for his music and got a photo together. I am so happy.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to for making this event possible and for taking such good care of us fans.
