Winter weather can be harsh on your skin, but if you follow these simple tips, you can keep your skin healthy and glowing all season long.
Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize ๐งด:
Look for a moisturizer with ingredients like ceramides and hyaluronic acid to help seal in much needed moisture. Apply your body lotion immediately after showering or bathing while your skin is still damp to lock in hydration.
Limit Hot Showers and Baths ๐ฟ:
Hot water can strip your skin of its natural oils which leads to dryness. Use lukewarm water instead and keep your shower or bath time short to limit moisture loss.
Protect Your Lips ๐:
Use a lip balm with SPF to protect your lips from sun damage and chapping.
Make sure to reapply frequently throughout the day, especially before going outdoors.
Don't Forget Sunscreen โ๏ธ:
Even though the sun's rays are less intense in the winter, they can still cause damage your skin. Apply a SPF of 30 or higher every day, even on cloudy days.
Use a humidifier ๐ง:
The dry winter air can strip your skin of moisture. Using a humidifier can help add moisture back into to the air in your home.
Remember, everyone's skin is different. Experiment with different products and techniques to find what works best for you.
