Dr. Kemp's House Adult Hospice is a non profit organization that offers support to those in Hamilton living with a progressive life limiting illness and their loved ones. Our programs include volunteer visiting, day hospice, residential support, and bereavement support for adults and children.

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help out in the KCN kitchen at Dr. Kemp's House! If you have some time to spare and a passion for helping others, we’d love to have you on board.

Kitchen tasks include: meal prep, making breakfast, baking, assisting kitchen staff, and washing dishes 🍽

Whether you can lend a hand once a week or more regularly, every bit of help makes a big difference!

We are so grateful to our volunteers who nurture our garden and create a peaceful, inviting space for our residents and their families, our staff, and the occasional bird that takes rest in the bird house.

A big thank you to the Parent Council, staff and students at Corpus Christi Catholic Elementary who presented us with $1,200 for Keaton’s House – Paul Paletta Children’s Hospice on their last day of school. These funds get us one step closer in ensuring that seriously ill children and their families have support when they need it most.

We’re wishing everyone at Corpus Christi Catholic Elementary a safe and happy summer!

This generous gift brings us that much closer to providing compassionate care, comfort, and memories to children with life-limiting illnesses and to the families who love them. We are incredibly grateful for the way our community shows up for us.

Pride Month is a time to celebrate the resilience, courage, and contributions of the 2SLGBTQI+ community. It honors a history rooted in protest and progress—from the Stonewall riots to the ongoing fight for equity and visibility to this very day. Pride is both a celebration of identity and a reminder that the journey toward full inclusion is far from over.

For KCN, Pride Month is not just a moment to show support—it’s a moment to ask the question -- How can we be better? Displaying rainbows is a start, but the real work happens behind the scenes every day of the year. Our values must show up in our actions, our policies, and our culture.
