Advance care planning is about more than just documents. It begins with understanding what matters most to you.

It’s not only about end-of-life care. It’s about making sure your voice is heard at any stage of life.

Your values, your wishes, and your experiences all help guide the care you receive.

When you take time to reflect and share what’s important, you give your loved ones a greater sense of confidence and comfort if they are ever called upon to make decisions on your behalf.

You don’t need to have all the answers. Even beginning the conversation can be a powerful and meaningful first step.

We’re excited to share the next chapter of our child and youth grief programming at Kemp Care Network. 💜

Building on a strong foundation, we’ve strengthened and expanded our approach to better support children and families across the Hamilton region.

New additions include an Anticipatory Grief Program, supporting children and families as they prepare for the loss of a loved one due to serious illness. Because for many children, grief begins long before a loss and the right support early on can make a meaningful difference.

We’ve also introduced a Parent/Caregiver Consultation Program, helping caregivers feel more informed and supported as they navigate their child’s grief, with guidance tailored to their unique family and circumstances.

We’re grateful to continue growing, learning, and supporting families through some of life’s most difficult moments.

Last week we had our Green and Gold day at Day Wellness! 🍀

At Day Program you will find rest and relaxation, supportive relationships, therapeutic value, and even just plain fun! The focus is on affirming life and living it to the fullest.

Hike for Hospice is a yearly walk that welcomes friends, families and their four-legged friends to help fundraise for Dr. Kemps House. Our goal is to raise $80,000 so we can continue offering hospice care and services to clients and their families—always at no cost.

Date: Saturday, June 20th , 2026
Location: Lake Side Pavilion-Christie Lake Conservation Area, 1000 ON-5, Dundas, ON L9H 5E1
Registration: Opens at 10:00 AM (Pre-registration is encouraged)

Big news! 🎉

We’re excited to share that Keaton’s House – Paul Paletta Children’s Hospice has officially received Site Plan Approval — an important step toward building the first children’s hospice serving families across our region.

This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support and expertise of our partners Landwise and McCallum Sather . Thank you for helping move this vision forward.

Every step brings us closer to creating a place where children with life-limiting illnesses — and the families who love them — will receive compassionate care, comfort, and support.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! 🍀

Today our Social Committee spread a little extra cheer by creating a Gratitude Tree, where staff, residents, and families could share messages of appreciation and kindness. It quickly filled with heartfelt notes that truly reflect the spirit of the work we do.

To make the day even more special, we also delivered specialty coffee, tea, and treats to everyone, because nothing says “thank you” like a warm cup and a sweet snack with a friendly smile.

We are so grateful to be part of such an incredible place, surrounded by amazing people who make every day meaningful. Wishing everyone a day full of luck, laughter, and appreciation!
