Ever wonder why food and nutrition aren’t mainstream interventions for mental health diagnoses? 🤔

Consider this if someone is diagnosed with diabetes, obesity or cardiovascular disease then DIET becomes a main treatment.

BUT how many people are struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD and never even questioned on what foods they are eating 😞

YET we know diet and nutrition profoundly impact brain function, mood and wellbeing.

If you’ve promised yourself to make changes in 2024 you first need to become more aware of how you are living each day.

If you’re looking to eat healthier ask yourself what foods am I eating most often? Am I eating regularly or skipping meals? Am I snacking most evenings and if so on what?

If you’re wanting to feel less stressed ask yourself how much time do I spend on social media? How often do I exercise? How much time do I spend outside each day?

Remember to make true behaviour change you have to be aware of your everyday habits. The more aware you become the easier it is to change them.

New Years Resolutions are great don’t get me wrong (I’ve made my own for 2024) but too often we can get caught up in the end goal that we miss out on all the little wins or special moments along the way. Let this be a simple reminder to be present, to enjoy that special space and relish on all you are doing to move forward in 2024! 😊
