As the weather warms up, we often transition from a sedentary winter to being busy with spring activities like gardening, walking and yard work. This sudden increase in activity can strain areas like our hips, back and especially pelvic floor.

Pelvic floor Physical Therapy focuses on coordinating your core and pelvic floor muscles with these higher demanding loads and activities.

We often hear people say they try to stop urine flow midstream to see how strong their pelvic floor is. Doing this frequently however, can lead to bladder infections and it is not a great way to make sure you’re activating your pelvic floor correctly.

A thorough examination by a Physical Therapist is recommended to ensure the correct muscles are being used!

Allow me to introduce myself!

My name is Jenna, and I’m a Physical Therapist based out of Hanna, AB. I completed my Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta, and have since taken further training and courses treating pelvic health related conditions. I am now a mom of two young girls, which has given me a new perspective and appreciation for birth preparation and postpartum strengthening.

My goal is to be able to assist others in identifying and treating issues with incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, decreased low back and hip mobility; and how that can all play into pelvic floor rehabilitation.
I’m happy to work with you on your specific questions or concerns. Booking is available online www.corept.ca or email me directly at jennacorept@gmail.com
