With the spring weather comes grass fire season. Did you know that grass fires require a permit? Please visit https://www2.gnb.ca/content/gnb/en/news/public_alerts/forest_fire_watch.html for more information on fire categories, burn permits, and when a category 1 fire is safe to burn.

The Forest Fire Watch is updated daily at 2 PM. Currently (04/19/2024) our area is "yellow". It is only safe to burn between 8 PM and 8 AM.

I have made these for years, so good!

Protein Balls

Ingredients
* 1 cup rolled oats
* ½ cup peanut butter
* ⅓ cup maple syrup
* 2 tablespoons chia seeds
* 1 tablespoon chocolate protein powder
* ½ cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions
* In a large bowl add the oats, peanut butter, maple syrup, chia seeds, chocolate protein powder, and dark chocolate chips. Mix well until all ingredients are blended.
* Cover bowl and place in refrigerator for an hour.
* Scoop the ingredients with a cookie scoop and roll in your hands until a ball is formed. You may need to press firmly to get a solid ball to form.
* Keep in the refrigerator in an airtight container.
