Today, June 23, 2025: Open until 9:00 p.m. (Millennium Room)

Tomorrow, June 24, 2025: Open 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (Arena Floor)

💦 Don’t forget the Splash Pad is also open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. – a perfect way to cool off and have fun!

🚧 Road Closure Notice: County Road 40

Please be advised County Rd 40 between Wellington Street and Helen Street will be closed for emergency railway track repairs by Canadian Pacific Railway.

🛑 Closure Details
Start Time: May 6, 2025 at 9:00 AM
End Time: May 8, 2025 at 5:00 PM

⚠️ Detour Routes: Will be in place to help you get around the closure.
🚶‍♀️ Pedestrian Safety: A crossing guard will be stationed to assist students walking to school.

Children in grades 1 to 6 are encouraged to recognize a Grandparent, Elder, or a special older person in their life as "Grandparent of the Year." Every year we are amazed by the stories we receive from across the City and County of Peterborough. Entries must be received by May 6, 2025. ✨

UPDATE – April 1, 2025

The Township of Asphodel-Norwood continues to work through the aftermath of the ice storm and appreciates everyone's patience as work is completed to restore our community.

🔘 Asphodel-Norwood Fitness Centre
OPEN - Members are welcome to use the facility for showers.

🔘 Asphodel-Norwood Community Centre
OPEN until 9:00 p.m. for warmth, device charging, showers, and water refills.

🔘 Transfer Station
OPEN for extended hours starting tomorrow, Wednesday, April 2, 2025.

* Extended Hours: Wednesday through Friday 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., with regular hours resuming Saturday, April 5, 2025.
* FREE drop-off for brush and food waste.
* Regular tipping fees apply to non-storm-related waste.
* Cash and debit payments will be accepted.

🔘 Tree Debris & Brush
If you're able, please bring tree debris and brush to the Asphodel-Norwood Transfer Station. At this time, Public Works crews are working through urgent issues on roads and sidewalks, but will assess possible curbside pickup options at a later date.
