Get walking
We all know that walking has numerous benefits. From increasing sun exposure to getting to know your community and supporting the local economy. But did you know (according to a pair of studies from the University of Exeter) a 15-minute walk can curb cravings for sweets and even reduce the amount of sweets you eat in stressful situations? And the latest research confirms that walking can reduce cravings and intake of a variety of sugary snacks. I am ALL for the occasional treat but isn't it cool to learn about other ways to potentially carve cravings? And not with funky pills or weird diet trends but rather just a good 15 minute walk around the block. It’s proof that the body knows what it is doing and that we should just stick to the physiology! So next time you're stressed and reach for that sweet treat maybe try a walk!
