✒️I am currently offering a Therapeutic Writing Group for Self-Compassion starting March 18! Space is limited!
It's been an ongoing passion of mine to share my love of writing and explore the link between therapy and therapeutic writing.
✨️What is self-compassion?
⁉️Kristen Neff defines self-compassion as two-fold: self-kindness and common humanity.
✨️What is Therapeutic Writing?
⁉️To explore themes, metaphors, narratives... in our lives in order to come to an understanding, heal from, and support difficult life experiences. Sometimes it's called "Journal Therapy."
✨️What can I expect to work on in this group?
⁉️Exploring themes, metaphors, narratives... about your life and how self-compassion is (or isn't) a part of your life. We will be exploring what self-compassion means to you and how to live a life with more self-compassion in order to support our mental health.
✨️More information about this group:
1) Closed. This means that there will be no change in group members throughout the duration of the group.
2) It will be a maximum of 6 participants. So, a small group!
3) Will be offered during the evening on Wednesdays from 5-6:45pm (including a 15-minute break). It will take place March 18-April 22.
4) The group will take place over 6 weeks and can be covered by extended health benefits (double-check with your insurance policy!).
5) No (absolutely no) experience needed! This is therapeutic writing, so we write about our experiences through our lens while relying on our own strengths.
6) Although sharing is encouraged through mindful feedback only (we only give feedback on themes and experiences, and the group will be closed), it is not necessary to share our writing and it is encouraged to share our experiences with the writing exercise.
7) EVERYONE is welcome!
