2025 has been a strange, difficult year, and a lot to process. It's so easy to get caught up in the noise but looking back at my photos tells me that joy is in the small, quiet(er) moments... and they outweigh the noise in both quantity and quality.
Dr. Robert Svoboda sums it nicely, "Strange years test us both by what they demand we endure and how well we are able to maintain our balance within our endurance. As we stand on the threshold of 2026, it would be naรฏve to assume that this strangeness will suddenly lift. If anything, the conditions that produced it, the technological acceleration, geopolitical uncertainty, ecological instability, and psychological saturation, are not going to miraculously resolve. At best, we can hope that they will mature. 2026 is unlikely to be calmer; it may be subtler and sharper, and will likely demand more discernment, not less. The task before us, then, is to cultivate deliberate attention. "
My goal for 2026 is to keep building this discernment, to pause and focus on the effects of my experiences and lean in to the beneficial ones - like doing more yoga! ๐ I look forward to sharing this beautiful practice with you all. ๐๐
