What a wonderful experience it was meeting Robert Korotyszyn from The Western Wheel.
I had the opportunity to spend time sharing a little of the work that I do, and something about that felt both grounding and quietly meaningful. I am deeply passionate about this work, and it was such a pleasure to be able to speak about it in a way that felt seen and understood.
Whether I am in my counselling space, offering reflexology, or out with the herd, each part of what I do carries its own depth, its own presence, and its own way of meeting people exactly where they are.
At the heart of what I do are the horses, and the power of the horse–human connection. There is something about being alongside the herd that invites a different kind of awareness, one that gently moves beyond words, where people can begin to notice, feel, and connect in ways that often surprise them. It is quiet, honest work, and I feel incredibly honoured to hold space for that.
Alongside this, my counselling and reflexology practice here in High River continues to support and deepen this work. Each session, whether in the office, on a walk, or through hands-on work, is shaped by a trauma-informed lens, where safety, choice, and connection are always held with care.
To be able to share all of this with Robert, and to have him take the time to listen, to understand, and to recognise the depth of this work, truly meant a lot. It’s not something I take lightly, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have it reflected and shared in this way.
