Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the tragic loss of two young members of our community. In times of such profound sadness, healing begins with connection.

It is natural to feel shock, confusion, or deep anger right now. We want to remind folks in our community that it is okay to not be okay. BRIDGES is committed to standing with you as we navigate this shared sorrow together.

Students and other members of the GYPSD School community are welcome at Harry Collinge High School, where there are Family School Liaison Counsellors available in person and online. Classes at TLC and HCHS are suspended today.

Remember that help is available.

CMHA Rural Distress Line: 1 (800) 232-7288
Kids Help Phone: 1-800-668-6868 or text CONNECT to 686868

BRIDGES operates as a drop in centre between 10am and 3pm, and provides a safe, comfortable place for folks to gather, be our authentic selves and create connection and community.

Take care of yourselves and look out for one another.

February 17 is Random Acts of Kindness day. You can celebrate all week AND help support the wellbeing of you and those around you.
"Acts of kindness and moments of social connection prevent su***de and build resilience. This Buddy Up mini-campaign is about promoting acts of kindness – this week, do something thoughtful for a buddy or for others in your life. This is a tangible way to show them you care and that you’re there for them when they need you." Check out this mini-campaign in the Buddy-Up program from CMHA Alberta and Centre for Su***de Prevention

Buddy Up is about helping buddies but it’s important to take care of ourselves, too. Building ‘strength’  and resilience is key. Building strength within helps us work through emotions, relieve stress, and remember to simply enjoy life. Whichever aspect of your health you’re choosing to str...

Random Acts of Kindness Day 🫶🏼

Is to encourage individuals to perform simple, unexpected acts of kindness to brighten someone's day and create a ripple effect of positivity.
It's a day to celebrate the Power of Kindness and Compassion.
Give someone a beautiful card, encouraging words, a flower, a smile or introduce yourself to a stranger.

Bridges and friends filled out some cards to give to others today.
