💉 Naloxone = Life-Saving Medicine
Here’s what everyone should know:

1️⃣ Naloxone only works on opioids, it reverses the effects of opioids like fentanyl, he**in, morphine, and oxycodone.
❌ It does not reverse overdoses from alcohol, benzos, or stimulants, but you should still call 911 if someone is unresponsive.

2️⃣ Naloxone is safe, even if you're wrong. If you give naloxone to someone who isn’t overdosing on opioids, it won’t hurt them.

3️⃣ More than one dose may be needed. Potent opioids like fentanyl may require multiple doses of naloxone., always carry more than one kit if possible.

4️⃣ Naloxone wears off in 20–90 minutes, and the person can go back into overdose after naloxone wears off. Always call 911, even if the person seems okay after the dose.

5️⃣ In Canada, anyone can carry and administer naloxone - no prescription or medical license needed.
