The question form will close at midnight. Please have all your questions in before then.
Thank you to everyone who has already submitted questions. Dr. Jones is in the process of answering them. Once they are all answered, they will be shared as their own post.
As you may have heard, Dr. Jones made a formal request to the Town of Hinton regarding clinic-related taxes.
Transparency with our community matters to us.
Over the next few days, we’ll be collecting your questions. Dr. Jones will answer these questions, and we’ll share his responses in a new post.
Dr. Jones' goal is simple: bring more family doctors to Hinton. Aspirare Health is designed to make practicing in Hinton as straightforward and fiscally reasonable as possible. This works by Aspirare Health handling the clinic operations so physicians take on the lowest possible expenses, paying only for what they use rather than a traditional overhead structure.
For this to work effectively and quickly, keeping clinic costs low is essential. The lower those costs, the more attractive Hinton becomes for doctors deciding where to practice.
With this in mind, Dr. Jones asked the Town of Hinton to consider his proposal and to support this effort to attract and retain new medical doctors in our community. He proposed a 10-year full tax and fee relief period, followed by a 50% reduction for an additional 10 years. This would cover property taxes, Evergreen Foundation fees, and water/sewer costs, along with waived garbage fees, Town-handled sidewalk snow removal, connection to the Town’s electrical grid, reimbursing exterior building painting, and waived municipal renovation fees.
Dr. Jones' April 15, 2025 letter to the Town is reproduced in the comments below.
The Town has not made any decisions regarding Dr. Jones' ask as of the date of this post.
