🥼 🧪 Medical Laboratory Week 🧪 🥼
It’s Medical Laboratory Week — and it’s important to recognize that the lab is about so much more than just collecting blood.
Behind the scenes, laboratory professionals are the ones helping detect cancer, analyze biopsies, and provide the critical results that guide diagnoses and treatment plans every single day.
As a Medical Laboratory Assistant, I’m proud to be part of that process — the one who collects the blood samples that begin the journey of answers for patients.
From ensuring proper sample collection to supporting accurate testing, every step matters. Laboratory teams are also responsible for life-saving work like blood typing and crossmatching in emergency situations, as well as monitoring health and managing disease.
Most people never see the lab — but nearly every patient is impacted by it.
This week, we celebrate the skilled, dedicated professionals who work both behind the scenes and on the front lines, making a difference in countless lives every day.
