I would like to make sure my clients are aware that not all insurance companies will cover Contemporary Medical Acupuncture, and some will only cover (Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture).

I do not do direct billing for acupuncture, as you will need to submit this on your own.

If your insurance company is not listed on this list, then I do not know if it will cover the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture or not.

Shenmen Point – A special point for Stress, Anxiety, and Insomnia

There are two Shenmen points. One is on the ear and the other one is near our wrist crease, which belongs to the heart meridian.

Shenmen (HT7) means “Spirit Gate”, which means a gate/door to access our spirit/mind/emotion. When you needle or do acupressure on this point, it can help open the gate/door to relieve the energy blockage for our spirit/mind/emotion.

Shenmen (HT7) is one of the main points on the Heart meridian. It can help nourish the blood and cool/clam down the internal fire. Therefore, it is a very good point for the mind, emotion, and heart-related issues such as stress, anxiety, and insomnia, palpitation, etc.

This point is also good for any ulnar nerve related issues. For any numbing/tingling in the pinky and/or ring finger

April is a student therapist that can not bill to insurance during her 2 year schooling. Her massage rates are discounted at $45/hour during this time. She will be offering treatments Mondays and Fridays, book now and grab a spot!

"April Ann is a student in massage therapy from Prairie College of Massage Therapy in Regina. She moved to Humboldt in 2014 and worked as a Care Aid for the Saskatchewan Health Authority prior to her current study. She is a mother of two and enjoys spending time with her family. It has been April's dream to become a Registered Massage Therapist and help people get better. She is very compassionate, intuitive , a fast learner and aims to provide great massages to people who will come to her for massage.
