I'm keeping an eye on the weather forecast for tomorrow (Wednesday) ........ I'm not a fan of driving in freezing rain, and I don't want my clients driving in freezing rain either ...........
⚠️ A potentially damaging ice storm is becoming increasingly likely for parts of Ontario starting late tonight into Wednesday.
While many areas enjoyed spring-like warmth this weekend and Monday, a sharp temperature divide is expected to develop across the province. That setup could lead to prolonged freezing rain in parts of Central and Eastern Ontario, with the Ottawa Valley currently looking like a potential hotspot.
Some areas could see significant ice accretion if the cold air holds on long enough.
There is still some uncertainty with the exact temperature setup, but the latest data is raising concerns about a prolonged icing event.
We’ve broken down the latest timing, expected ice totals and the areas most at risk in our preliminary forecast.
