This book will draw from classical sources such as Wang Bi, Heshang Gong, the Mawangdui silk texts, and the Guodian bamboo slips—while also integrating over 30 years of personal study, travel, and inner cultivation since first encountering the Dao De Jing as a teenager.

Its focus will be on how the Dao De Jing illuminates the transformation of jing, qi, and shen; the quieting of the heart-mind; the five regulations in Qigong; Embryonic Breathing; and more. Where appropriate and in a spirit of respect, I’ll also include relevant scientific research and commentary.
