✨ Meet Our New Physiotherapist Resident – Shaylyn McArthur! ✨

We’re excited to welcome Shaylyn McArthur, MScPT, BKin (Hons.) to our team as a Physiotherapist Resident!

Shaylyn brings over a decade of experience working in physiotherapy clinics and completed her Master of Science in Physiotherapy at the University of Liverpool after earning her Honours degree in Kinesiology from Brock University.

She takes an evidence-based, holistic approach to care, with a strong focus on:
✔️ Musculoskeletal injuries
✔️ Pain management
✔️ Joint instability & muscular imbalances
✔️ Injury rehabilitation

Shaylyn is passionate about patient education and works collaboratively with her patients to help them reach their goals. She is also pursuing ongoing professional development with interests in concussion management, whiplash, and paediatrics.

We are pleased to announce that we have been granted additional funding from the ministry of health to provide more physiotherapy services funded through the community physiotherapy program. This additional funding along with our current staffing will allow us to substantially improve wait-times and access to publicly funded physiotherapy services. We would like to publicly acknowledge the assistance of Mr. Ernie Hardeman, MPP and his staff for advocating for this funding for the community.

We have an exciting project starting the week of June 23rd at Alexandra Hospital Ingersoll. In the picture below there is a visual of what is being paved.

As a result of this work, the Emergency Department door and Ambulatory Care door will be closed for the week of June 23rd and will re-open Monday June 30th. Access to the building will be through the door by the gift shop. We will have signage for our patients and visitors for both parking and access to the building.

We will be closing off the two vehicle entrances into this area from Noxon Street as well as closing off access after the EV Charging Stations. We will also be closing off all pedestrian areas that would access the Emergency Department door and Ambulatory Care door.

The parking areas highlighted in yellow, excluding the EV charging station area will be for patients and visitors. The roundabout(purple arrow), will only be for Emergency Medical Services and Non Emergency Patient Transport.
