Board Opportunity – Make an Impact in Community Health

The Georgian Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic (GNPLC) is currently seeking expressions of interest to join its Board of Directors. This opportunity is a meaningful way to help shape the future of community-based healthcare in Barrie and Innisfil.

GNPLC is a not-for-profit organization delivering team-based, interdisciplinary primary care with a strong focus on accessible, patient-centred services. Board members work collaboratively with the Executive Team to support governance, strategic direction, and fiduciary oversight.

Individuals from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply, with particular interest in those with experience in:
• Nurse Practitioner (CNO licensed)
• Patient or family caregiving
• Healthcare leadership
• Human Resources
• Legal
• Digital Health / IT

📅 Commitment includes approximately 6 board meetings per year, committee participation, and a potential three-year term.
📩 Expressions of interest and resumes are due March 27, 2026.

The Barrie and Area Ontario Health Team (OHT) are running a Cervical Cancer Screening Clinic at our Innisfil location Monday, February 2, 2026, from 6pm-9pm.

These clinics are for people aged 25-69 who need cervical cancer screening (HPV Pap test) and have not had a routine pap in the last 3 years. Screenings at these clinics will be performed by a female healthcare provider. These clinics are by appointment only using the online booking link. Please see the link below and feel free to share with unattached patients needing screening; they can also go to their website: Barrie and Area Health Services Guide - BAOHT for guidance on other services.

Due to anticipated inclement weather both our Barrie and Innisfil locations will be closing today (Thursday, November 27th) at 4:00 PM and will remain closed on Friday, November 28th to ensure the safety of our patients and staff.

We will reopen on Monday, December 1st at 8:00 AM.
