Every year, about 400,000 Canadians experience a concussion — an “invisible injury” that often goes unrecognized. In Alberta alone, 41 people a day sustain a concussion, many from falls, sports, accidents, or collisions.
We encourage everyone involved in sport, recreation, and physical activity to learn more about concussion prevention, detection, management, and recovery. Together, we can ensure better support for individuals impacted by concussions.
Join us in raising awareness on September 24, part of National Concussion Awareness Week (Sept 22–28, 2025). Together, we can promote prevention, recognition, and recovery.
