Today’s therapeutic riding game focused on matching colors and images, encouraging riders to use visual scanning, memory, communication, and decision-making — all while building balance and confidence in the saddle.

With the help of a very patient equine partner, riders selected the correct color card and delivered it to the matching station around the arena. Simple on the surface, powerful in purpose.

These playful activities support cognitive skills, coordination, focus, and independence — and remind us that learning looks different for everyone. Every choice made, every color matched, is a meaningful win. 🌈✨

🌷 Spring Session Volunteers Wanted! 🌷

Our Spring Session runs April 7 – June 25, and we’re looking for amazing volunteers to join our team! Lessons run 9:45am–5:45pm.

🐴 Mandatory Volunteer Orientation
All volunteers—new and returning—must attend orientation this year. We’re expanding it to include hands-on arena work with our program horses, plus an opportunity to sit on a horse and experience what it’s like to be led. This training helps keep our horses happy and our volunteers safe, confident, and supported.

📅 Orientation: Wednesday, April 1 | 5:00–8:00pm

💙 We truly can’t run our program without our volunteers, and your time makes a direct impact on our riders.

Chevy Available for On-Property Lease!

Chevy, one of our therapeutic riding horses, is looking for some one-on-one attention and would love to have a consistent riding partner 1–2 days per week (Friday–Sunday).

He’s extra special to our program, having competed at the BC Summer Games, winning 4 golds and a silver medal in para-dressage!

Important info:
Chevy has an inoperable bone chip that has caused discomfort in the past. He is currently on a maintenance program.

He is suitable for walk/trot riding at the moment, with a gradual return to canter possible.

Lessons can also be arranged if desired.

Lease Options:

1 day/week: $120/month
2 days/week: $240/month
