What a beautiful morning filled with hope, love, and kindness πŸ’›

A heartfelt thank you to Shari Finlay, Board President of CMHA Kamloops, and the amazing group from BCLC for crafting Hearts of Hope for our Clubhouse members.

We also loved decorating cupcakes together this morning with our wonderful community volunteer, Shirley β€” such a sweet way to bring everyone together!

Moments like these remind us that hope grows when we share it. Through small acts of love and kindness, we strengthen connection, lift each other up, and build a community where everyone belongs.

We are proud to be part of this important step forward for housing and community wellbeing in Kamloops.

These 55 modular homes at 1453 McGill Road represent safety, stability, and dignity for people who have experienced homelessness. With 24/7 staffing and on-site supports, the project reflects what works, housing paired with care.

We are grateful to BC Housing and all partners involved for their collaboration and shared commitment to solutions that strengthen both residents and the surrounding community. This is what it looks like when we come together with purpose.

Lucy just wrapped up her 2nd-year TRU practicum, and Dudley is celebrating one full year as a casual staff member at the clubhouse. 🌟

It’s one of those bittersweet moments β€” new beginnings for Lucy as her career takes off, and reflection for Dudley as he continues forward after a lifetime spent in the social services world.

Here’s to growth, purpose, and the impact they’ve both made and will keep making. πŸ’›

Kamloops, we need your help to spread some warmth!

As the nights get colder, the cozy factor at Emerald Centre and Merit Place is running a little low - our blanket supply is looking a little thin!

We're looking for donations of clean, gently used or new blankets to help our clients stay warm and comfortable this season.

If you've got an extra blanket (or three)tucked away in a closet, now is the perfect time to give it a new home where it will truly be appreciated.

Donations can be dropped off at:

Emerald Centre, 271 Victoria Street

Merit Place, 725 Notre Dame Drive

Let's show once again how Kamloops wraps its community in care - one blanket at a time!
