Lia has over 20 years in the field of child development with extensive experience supporting neurodiverse families to work through challenging behaviors, emotions, relationship development and conflict.

We would like to introduce Kirsten Flinn, our newest counsellor in training! Kirsten is completing her Master's in Counselling practicum with us at Aligned. We are excited to share that she will be offering sessions for $30.00. Kirsten will be working closely with her practicum supervisor to ensure that all clients receive the best service possible.
Kirsten has been involved in education and teaching since 2010, and has spent the last six years as an inclusion teacher working with youth with neurodiversities, behaviour and communication challenges, trauma, and anxiety.

Uncertainty and negative past experiences can prevent people from feeling safe seeking medical assistance following a sexual assault. Kamloops Sexual Assault Counselling Center (KSACC) has just announced that they are offering a hospital accompaniment from a trained support person. Nobody should have to go through that experience alone and now they have the option of calling for support. Well done KSACC and thank you.

All of us at Aligned Kamloops would like to express our deepest condolences to the family, friends, community, and ancestors of the 215 children who never made it back home. Facing our past as Canadians can be difficult, but it is necessary in order to be better. There is no denying this horrendous part of our history and we stand in ally ship with the Secwépemc people during this profoundly difficult time.
