You’re not losing your mind.
Your brain is losing the hormones that helped it feel sharp.
That “why did I walk into this room?” feeling…
The word that disappears mid-sentence…
The phone in your hand while you forget why you opened it…
That can be menopause.
Estrogen and progesterone help support memory, focus, mood, sleep, stress tolerance, blood flow, and brain energy.
So when they shift, your brain can feel like it’s buffering.
Brain fog is common.
But you should not be told to just “live with it.”
Common drivers include:
Low estrogen
Low progesterone
Poor sleep
Blood sugar crashes
Chronic stress
Inflammation
Low thyroid
Nutrient deficiencies
Too much alcohol
Start here:
Eat enough protein.
Strength train.
Stabilize blood sugar.
Prioritize sleep.
Check thyroid, iron, B12, vitamin D, insulin, A1c, and hormones.
Consider HRT with a knowledgeable provider if it’s right for you.
Your brain is not broken.
It’s asking for better support.
Save this if your brain has been buffering lately.
